Inclusives
Inclusives is an association for people with intellectual or developmental disabilities that has been advocating for their rights and improving their quality of life for over 45 years. He was born on January 18, 1977 with the aim of defending and claiming the rights of people with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities, as well as improving their quality of life.
They are currently 172 professionals of direct and indirect attention that They serve 499 people with disabilities intellectual or developmental and their families, to which must be added 60 workers from their Special Employment Centre. They have social support from 557 members.

BE: Well, now we are going to start today. Vegas Altas on Tuesday, October 22nd after this review of the current events. And we are going to do it by talking about some conferences that are going to take place in Villanueva de la Serena. Around the Congress Palace of Villanueva de la Serena on November 2nd and 3rd, there are some conferences organized by the Koline Institute that are for charity.
All the benefits will be for Inclusives Villanueva de la Serena. These days include a large number of very diverse activities. We have in this today, Vegas Altas, Dr. Peri Colino, founder of Koline Institute, Peri, how are you doing?
Dr. Peri Colino: How are you?
BE: And to María Márquez, head of communications at Colina Institute: María, how are you?
Maria Marquez: Thank you very much for that speaker that the radio offers us, not that you offer us.
BE: Thank you for being here because we want to know a little more about what these days will consist of, which, as we say, have endless and very varied activities. Doctor, tell us a little about how they will begin or what are those activities that will arrive in Villanueva de la Serena on November 2nd.
Dr. Peri Colino: Well, these are two very intense days, as you have said. And our main objective is to promote both the training part and the event organization part within our autonomous community and specifically, this time in Villanueva, la Serena at the Palacio de Congresos. These are two very intense days because we are going to start with a part dedicated to health, sport and well-being in particular, especially the dental part.
And it will be held, as I have said, at the Palacio de Congresos, we will invite people, we have the possibility of combining it with social events such as the concert we are going to have by BlancaFlor or the athlete Fernando Romay who will give us a motivational talk. And we wanted to combine that directly with the training part at the dental level and at the dental clinic level, we are going to do a day of updating new technologies in the dental clinic.
And Sunday will be reserved exclusively for leisure. There will be a golf tournament with introductory golf classes for those interested. And finally, we will end the event with a meal organised by the golf club for all attendees.
BE: There have been many things that you have mentioned, we will talk about each one of them.
What we haven't explained is what the Koline Institute is, because it is a research institute focused on dentistry, right?
Dr. Peri Colino: Indeed, Koline Institute is an educational institution aimed at implementing high-quality training at the dental level. We are also in collaboration with pgo UCAM and specifically, I am the director of the master's degree in orthodontics there in Malaga and this project arose a bit also from that idea of also implementing the organizational and educational part in our autonomous community. That is why we got in touch with all of these that we will now detail and we organized something in Extremadura since many of the members of col Institute were born in this community.
BE: Maria, you weren't born in Extremadura, were you?
Maria Marquez: No, I think it's because of the accent... I'm from Malaga.
We have that link between Malaga and Villanueva de la Serena and Don Benito. And of course, loving the land is not the most beautiful thing you can do, but loving it in many ways, also at an educational level and giving it value, not to the things we have here in the area. This event is going to take place, I think we have said it, in the Palacio de Congresos in Villanueva de la Serena, a Palacio de Congresos that you can also say better than I can that it is spectacular, right? So giving value to culture is also part of a project that is born from us in this case.
BE: It is also one of the newest, but most spectacular, Congress Palaces that we have in all of Extremadura. And where does the link between Inclusives, as we said at the beginning, and Koline Institute come from? Because all the benefits, we repeat, will go to this association, Inclusives Villanueva.
Dr. Peri Colino: Since we opened the clinic in 1987, we have had a good relationship with Inclusives. In fact, this year there was already a previous project where several companies were invited to participate and contribute to certain areas of their own organization.
And that was where the idea came from. That was the main point or the starting point of that idea. And besides being simply a business collaboration or one without effort, we decided to organize a project, a different project or to accompany them in helping with their in-motion project, which, in a project of inclusion through workshops, through collaborations in the different areas of sporting life, we believe that we can provide a lot of help, not only on an economic level, but also on an organizational level. And we can give value and give sound to one of the associations that perhaps does the most for well-being in our area.
BE: We said that these days will take place on November 2 and 3, but well, as you said at the beginning, health and sport will also be combined: health, dentistry, sport. Sport, because on the one hand, there will also be that golf tournament, on the other hand, Fernando Romay will also be there. And, on the other hand, because you are also going to work with Villa Nóvense, but not with the Villa Nóvense players, right?
Dr. Peri Colino: Indeed.
We also have collaboration in sports. We have always tried to be quite involved. And our sports dentist who works in Malaga is going to travel there on Friday and Monday. That is not on the programme because it is a bit more of a technical part. She is going to travel to Villanueva de la Serena to carry out a posturology check-up and try to prevent, as far as possible, the appearance of different types of injuries at the oral and dental level, which have already been shown to be closely related to the dental part, partly to occlusion and partly to bacterial diseases, such as a periodontal disease that can directly or indirectly affect the quality of life and sport of our footballer in this case.
BE: We pay little attention to the mouth.
Dr. Peri Colino: Very little. In fact, look at football with the amount of media and money it moves. And for the first time in history, the Barcelona football club has introduced a dentist into the medical team. It happened this year. Until then, no one has noticed the importance of health in terms of injuries.
And many people have cut short their sporting careers precisely because of this type of problem.
